Monster Rice Krispies Treats
Edible candy eyes are pretty much the best baking invention ever, aren’t they? I think I’ve fallen in love with them. My grandson is a huge fan of any treat that includes these funny little eyes.
This recipe makes 12-24 treats, depending on how big you make them. I prefer to make them pretty small so my grandson can have a little handful of Monster Rice Krispies Treats.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 10 oz package regular or mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 10 oz package ghoul’s mix M&Ms
- Candy eyeballs
- Additional 1 tablespoon butter
Directions
- Melt 3 tablespoons of butter over low heat in a large saucepan.
- Add marshmallows and stir until they are fully melted.

- Remove from heat and add cereal and M&Ms. Stir until combined.

You will want to butter your hands, then grab handfuls of the mixture and form a ball.
This will help the mixture from sticking to your hands as well as forming it to a ball shape.
Next you will add the eyeballs and press them in slightly so they will stay put. Set on a baking sheet or tray.

Your Monster Rice Krispies Treats are now ready. Serve on a party platter or package in Halloween themed cello bags and give away as a party favor.
Note: You may need to re grease your hands a time or two throughout the process, so that the mixture won’t stick to your hands.
