Wendy’s founder, Dave Thomas, was adopted himself so he dedicated his life to helping children in need of a permanent home and loving family. In 1992, he founded the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption which is still the only public charity in the United States that focuses solely on foster care adoption. They provide free resources for foster care adoption, work with child welfare advocates and policymakers, and help raise awareness about adoption.
Wendy’s will also donate to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption for each key tag sold.
